Trike Traders is located in beautiful Central Florida, and is the combination
of the father and son team of Doug and Shaun Cady. Doug has 35 years of experience in the automobile industry, in that
he has owned and operated successful businesses dealing in the repair and sale of cars, worked in the service and sales departments
of major auto dealerships, and even built and raced his own open wheel dirt track race car. Doug has a sharp mechanical
mind and attention to detail, and has always had a passion for motorsports, and his hobbies and toys over the years have included
ATV's, dirtbikes, motorboats, snowmobiles and of course motorcycles. Shaun is newer to the industry, but was involved
with four wheelers, dirtbikes, motorboats and snowmobiles growing up. He has a strong background in the customer service,
sales and hospitality fields, in that Shaun has been a property manager, retail store operations supervisor, and retail customer
service salesperson.
We recognized the desire of many friends and acquaintances
around the country for three wheeled touring motorcycles. With these trikes, people of almost any age, physical condition,
size and skill level could enjoy the thrill of the open road and the wind in their hair, without some of the drawbacks of
standard two wheeled motorcycles. We did some research, which proved to us that the demand for these trikes was definitely
present, and that there are a limited amount of them available for purchase. We also found that there are few companies
building trikes, and even fewer of those were putting out a quality product at a fair price. We were looking to
start a successful business that could provide us with the enjoyment and excitement we would receive by working at something
we would truly want to do, and deliver a product to meet the demands of people like us around the world. In that process,
Trike Traders was born.........
We
build turnkey trike units for sale, and also do conversions for customers on their bike. We started with just Champion,
but have since added California Sidecar Trike, Hannigan Motorsports, Danson and MotorTrike conversions to our lineup
to add more variety and choice to our customers. We feel that these are some of the best conversions on the market,
and offer different suspension systems, looks, models and options. No matter what kind of ride you're looking
for, we have a conversion that should fit your needs and budget. We also offer a wide variety of discounted accessories
from the best aftermarket manufacturers in the business -- Kuryakyn, Big Bike Parts (ShowChrome), Rivco and Add-On
Accessories. We also are getting into more innovative products, like CentraMatic wheel balancers, Fusion LED light kits
and more. We also have access to the distributor networks of Parts Unlimited / Drag Specialties and Tucker Rocky, meaning
we can get helmets, apparel and almost anything for your ride!

Our Philosophy: Both
Doug and Shaun believe in delivering products that meet and exceed the best in the business, and our mission is
that with quality products and honest & forthright business practices we will strive to satisfy our customers to the best
of our ability. The following statements describe our outlook on our business and the policies we've embraced. - Pricing: We at Trike
Traders work very hard to offer our customers the best bikes, trikes, and trike conversions available. We take
a lot of time and care in selecting the bikes we purchase for conversion, and we put great effort into making sure that our
conversion installations are even better quality than the factory. We stand behind our trike installations with a lifetime
warranty on the installation labor. We feel that we set fair and justifiable market prices on the inventory trikes
that we have for sale, and the conversions that we do, and therefore we do not negotiate our pricing.
- Building relationships: We
feel that the normal buying process of dealers negotiating prices on vehicles is inherently flawed. The reason
it is flawed is that such an arrangement leaves out one very important component of a good business relationship; TRUST.
Dealers are not honest with the pricing they post on their inventory, those prices are typically inflated several thousand
dollars to allow for negotiating. The dealer wants to dupe the customer into buying the vehicle for as much as possible.
The customer comes in wanting to buy a vehicle for as little as possible. Both sides lie, and bluff, and play games
with each other. Who wins in this situation? The shrewdest negotiator. Is that fair? We think not.
So we price our trikes for the lowest, fairest price we can, that gets our customers a fair buy, and us a fair return
in order to pay our overhead and keep our doors open. Every customer is treated the same, and gets the
same deal. Simple. Honest. Fair. We want to build a relationship with the customer, so we want our
buyers to feel like they can trust us, as the helpful and knowledgeable professionals we strive to be, and seek out our
wisdom, opinions and advice. We hope that each customer would not hesitate to come back and do business with us again.
That's how we like to be treated, and therefore it's how we try to treat our customers.
- We do things by the book.
Like almost any business, there are licenses, certifications, permits, etc. that are legally required to do what we do.
There are procedures and rules set out by the local, state, and federal governments that are meant to be followed in order
to protect the public. We believe that to have a lasting and successful business, you have to abide by the system, not
only for us, but for our customers. There are other businesses out there that do not believe in the system, and will
circumvent it when possible, either for their benefit, or the apparent benefit to their customer. We're sorry, but
we will not put ourselves or our customers at risk by doing these things, it is just not worth it. So, with that said,
we are fully licensed and bonded as a Florida motor vehicle dealer. We carry more than the statutory limits in insurance
coverage. We are trained and authorized dealers for the conversion manufacturers we build. We follow the procedures
set forth by the motor vehicle authorities. And yes, we have to say it, we collect proper taxes as well. Avoiding
or deceiving the tax collectors is a quick way to lose a business and go to prison, and we don't think they'll
let us build trikes in there. This is not a get rich quick business for us, it's a labor of life & love.
We started this business from nothing, our life savings and retirements are invested in it...and we have grown it into something,
and endeavor to be a premier trike dealer for a long time to come, and doing things right is a big part of that.
